Gear and Gear Transport Information
Neoprene booties are considered part of a wetsuit and would be legal to wear anytime wetsuits are legal. Swim-socks/booties are legal at any temperature as long as they do not provide flotation.
Participants will receive a Transition Bag at packet pick up. Athletes must bring the Transition Bag to the race. On race day, athletes will check in at Columbus Park, which is the location of Transition 2 (T2). Athletes will have the opportunity to get last minute adjustments on their bikes.
After check-in, athletes will first set up their gear for T2. After doing so, athletes ride a half-mile to Transition 1 (T1) at Cummings Beach and set up their gear for T1. Athletes will then prepare for the swim.
Upon completing the swim, athletes will go to T1 and put all swim gear in their Transition Bag. Volunteers will then transport this bag to T2. Once athletes complete the race, they will return to T2 and collect their gear.
