The Course
The SWIM begins and ends at Cummings Beach Park and is a .9 mile triangular course in Long Island Sound, sheltered by Shippan Point to the east and Cove Beach to the north.
The 24.8 mile BIKE is diverse, has gradual climbs, fast downhills and demands your attention. It begins with a loop along the water through breathtaking Shippan Point, then whizzes through the corporate canyon of downtown Stamford amidst towering office buildings and finally heads into the beautiful wooded terrain of North Stamford. An exciting transition awaits back in downtown Stamford at Columbus Park, in the heart of the restaurant district.
The 10K (6.2 mile) RUN is a 2-loop course through downtown Stamford. The entire course was designed for great viewing. Spectators can grab a front row seat in Columbus Park to see the early stages of the bike, the excitement of transition #2 and the spectacular finish line. Post-race festivities at Columbus Park include food, drink, awards, music and expo.
